Beginning with the 2027 Triple J Classic, the event rotation schedule will be updated to improve overall event flow and create an earlier completion time on Sunday. The updated format will include:
- An earlier start time on Friday (2 hours)
- Two 12-gauge rotations completed Friday afternoon
- Sunday’s final rotation begins approximately three hours earlier than this year’s format
These adjustments are designed to create a smoother and more accommodating experience for our competitors, referees, families, and staff while maintaining the atmosphere and traditions that make the Triple J Classic special. By shifting a portion of the 12-Gauge Championship to Friday, we are able to significantly
improve the Sunday schedule and provide competitors with earlier Sunday completion times, improved travel flexibility, less late-day Sunday congestion, and a better overall rotation balance throughout the weekend. We believe this updated format will improve the overall Triple J experience while preserving the
competitive structure our shooters enjoy year after year.
