More than 200 young shooters braved the coastal Georgia heat to enjoy great targets and a weekend of fun at the Junior World Skeet Championships, hosted by Forest City Gun City Club, July 21-24. Sub-Junior, Junior, and Collegiate shooters competed for Over All and Lady championships — along with a year’s bragging rights!

Ice cold bottled water and Powerade on every field helped mitigate some very challenging hot weather for the competitors, and the tireless efforts of Forest City Gun Club, many dedicated volunteers, and generous sponsors ensured everyone had a good time. After-hours entertainment, including an Annie Oakley-style shoot, and 110 quickly-consumed pizzas added to the youth’s enjoyment of the annual event.
