November 3, 2017 By Sherry Kerr

Richard Charles Haas, 69, of Lakeway, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, in Lakeway.

Richard attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a BBA in Marketing with the Class of 1970. Upon graduation he went to work for Mercantile Bank in Corpus Christi, then in the oil and gas industry for many years before starting his own business, Pinnacle Royalty and Operating Company.

Richard is preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Haas, his mother, Louise C. Haas, and his sister, Trevlyn J. Haas. He is survived by his wife, five daughters, a step-son, and eight grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a favorite charity of Richard’s.

September 19, 2017 By Sherry Kerr

Most NSSA member clubs’ memberships expire December 31, 2017. We’re asking you to renew early and register your 2018 shoots soon to take advantage of two opportunities::

  • Clubs renewing by November 1 will be entered into our Club Membership Renewal Drawing.
  • Shoots registered by November 30 will be listed in the February issue of Clay Target Nation magazine.

If you renew by November 1, you could be drawn to win:

  • Grand Prize – Five year NSSA Club Membership
  • 2nd – Entry to the 2018 World Skeet Championships Main Event
  • 3rd – Entry to the 2018 Blaser Main Event
  • 4th – Six-year NSSA Membership
  • 5th – NSSA Shooter’s Package

To have your registered shoots listed in the February 2018 issue of Clay Target Nation, two steps are required by November 30:

  • Membership renewal
  • Complete an NSSA Registered Shoot Application and submit it to your state/ provincial association for approval. The association will submit approved shoots to NSSA.

TO RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP

ONLINE: Go to NSSA Club Renewal Form. You can do the entire renewal process, including payment, by following the instructions there. Update all club contact and other information.

BY MAIL: If you prefer to renew by mail, go to the NSSA Club Renewal Form, update your club information page, then print it rather than submitting online. (Right-click, then select print.) This is a fillable form, so you can complete it online before printing. Mail it with your $50 dues to Stephanie Haga, NSSA, 5931 Roft Rd., San Antonio, TX 78253.

BY PHONE: Call 1-800-877-5338 ext. 122. Please have your member club number and credit card handy.  Also, review your club’s information on the NSSA Club Renewal Form and be prepared to provide any needed updates.

ADDRESS CHANGES: Regardless of how you renew, please be sure to update all your contact information to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of your important club benefits. When you click the NSSA Club Renewal Form and enter your club member number, the information on file for your club will populate the form for updating. You may also provide it by phone at 1-800-877-5338 ext. 122.

REGISTERING 2018 SHOOTS

Download and complete the Registered Skeet Shoot Application form and send it to your State/Provincial Association for shoot date approval. This is also a fillable form that you can complete online, then print or save for emailing. Your State/Provincial Association will forward the shoot application form to headquarters when approved. It is important for you to specify if the shoot is Notable, Zone, State (Provincial), or International.

Approved shoot applications must be received at headquarters by November 30, 2017, for your shoots to be included in the February 2018 issue of Clay Target Nation.

Thank you for renewing your club membership. Your participation assures the growth and continuation of skeet for the next generation. If you have any questions or need assistance, contact Stephanie Haga, Club Administrator, at 210-688-3371 ext. 122 or shaga@nssa-nsca.com, Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST.
