NSSA Member Clubs: Renew Membership, Register 2020 Shoots
It’s time for NSSA member clubs to renew your membership and register your shoots for 2020.
2020 is going to be a great year! We will be announcing new benefits for member clubs throughout the year and releasing new resources to help your club be successful.
NEW THIS YEAR: Join the National Shooting Sports Foundation for only $25.
- NSSF is our shooting industry trade association and represents all shooting sports through an active government relations team. NSSF members can also access many tools and resources, like shooter recruitment initiatives, research, events and much more. Membership is regularly $100, but if you join through NSSA, you can enjoy all member benefits for only $25. Learn more about this new opportunity here.
We’re asking you to renew now and register your 2020 shoots soon to take advantage of two opportunities:
- Shoots registered by December 10 will be listed in the February issue of Clay Target Nation magazine.
- Clubs renewing by December 14 will be entered into our Club Membership Renewal Drawing.
To have your registered shoots listed in the February 2020 issue of Clay Target Nation, two steps are required by December 10:
- Membership Renewal
- Complete an NSSA Registered Shoot Application and submit it to your state/provincial association for approval. The association will submit approved shoots to NSSA.
Renew by December 14 for a chance to win:
- Grand Prize – Five-year NSSA Club Membership
- 2nd – Entry to the 2020 World Skeet Championships Main Event
- 3rd – Entry to the 2020 Blaser Main Event
- 4th – Three-year NSSA Membership
- 5th – NSSA Shooter’s Package
TO RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP
ONLINE: Go to NSSA Club Renewal Form and enter your member club number. You can do the entire renewal process, including payment, by following the instructions there. Update all club contact and other information.
BY MAIL: If you prefer to renew by mail, go to the NSSA Club Renewal Form, enter your member club number, update your club information page, then print it rather than submitting online. (Right-click, then select print.) This is a fillable form, so you can complete it online before printing. Mail it with your $50 dues to Stephanie Haga, NSSA, 5931 Roft Rd., San Antonio, TX 78253.
BY PHONE: Call 1-800-877-5338 ext. 962. Please have your member club number and credit card handy. Also, review your club’s information on the NSSA Club Renewal Form and be prepared to provide any needed updates.
ADDRESS CHANGES: Regardless of how you renew, please be sure to update all your contact information to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of your important club benefits. When you click the NSSA Club Renewal Form and enter your club member number, the information on file for your club will populate the form for updating. You may also provide it by phone at 1-800-877-5338 ext. 962.
REGISTERING 2020 SHOOTS
Download and complete the Registered Shoot Application Form and send it to your State/Provincial Association for shoot date approval. Your State/Provincial Association will forward the shoot application form to headquarters when approved. It is important for you to specify if the shoot is Notable, Zone, State (Provincial), or International.
Approved shoot applications must be received at headquarters by December 10, 2019, for your shoots to be included in the February 2020 issue of Clay Target Nation.

Phil Murray Announces Retirement from White Flyer
Phil Murray, White Flyer National Sales Manager, announces his retirement from the company, effective January 2, 2020.
Murray grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where his love for shotgun sports began at the early age of 9. Murray’s career included tenure at NSSA, Krieghoff, Beretta, Kolar, and White Flyer. Murray joined White Flyer in 1995 and has played a crucial role in White Flyer becoming the #1 manufacturer of clay targets in the world. Murray was inducted into the NSSA Hall of Fame in 1995 for his shooting accomplishments, and on October 3, 2019, he received the prestigious NSSA Hall of Fame “Ray Boller Service Award” for over 50 years of service to the clay target community.
“Phil Murray has left an indelible mark on the shooting community in the United States, and for that we are grateful,” said Brian Skeuse, White Flyer Senior Vice President.
Robert Crow, Northeast Region Sales Manager, has been promoted to National Sales Manager upon Murray’s retirement. Robert will continue to reside in Chestertown, Maryland.
Nick Arnold of Lumberton, Texas, will be joining White Flyer to assume the role as Central Region Sales Manager. Arnold brings 17 years of shotgun sports experience which includes shooting range manager, event organizer, target setter for major championships, and being a competitive shooter. “Nick brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. We are thrilled to have him part of White Flyer,” said Robert Crow.
Support Youth, Other Programs with NSSA-NSCA Donations
If you’re a supporter of NSSA-NSCA and our various programs and want to offer financial support, we want you to know how to do so.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, the National Skeet Shooting Association (of which the NSSA, NSCA, and National Shooting Complex are divisions) is eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions. While you may choose to make a general donation to the nonprofit corporation or to either association, you may also specify how your contribution is to be earmarked, such as for the NSCA USA Sporting Clays Team, to the youth shooting program, NSSA-NSCA Hall of Fame and Museum, scholarship program, or any other specific use.
If you’d like to support the future of skeet and sporting clays through a donation to NSSA-NSCA, here are some ways you can do it:

The National Skeet Shooting Association is a 501(c)(3) corporation as determined by the United States Internal Revenue Service. In return for your donation no goods or services are received. Therefore, your entire gift qualifies as a charitable donation.
The NSSA recommends that you consult with a tax professional in your state to determine the extent to which your gift may qualify for tax deduction at the state and local level.
