Nominations Open for Directors-at-Large

June 25, 2026 By Sherry Kerr Leave a Comment

Nominations are now open for the five (5) NSSA Director-at-Large positions for the 2027-2028 term. Current members of the Board of Directors will elect the Directors-at-Large, July 16-31.

Candidates must be current, paid NSSA members. Complimentary members and Crossfire shooters are not eligible. Members who wish to run for the position must submit a nomination form with the endorsement of their state association OR the signatures of five (5) paid NSSA members. (Candidates who are state association officers may not endorse themselves.) Directors-at-Large have full voting rights and follow the same guidelines as other elected Directors.

NOMINATION PROCEDURE

1. Complete a Nomination Form. Download the Director-at-Large Nomination Form and provide all the requested information.

2. Obtain endorsement signature(s). You may obtain either the signature of an officer of your state association OR the signatures of five (5) current, paid NSSA members.

  • If obtaining the signature of an officer, complete that area on the nomination form.
  • If obtaining signatures of five members, use the separate NSSA Director-at-Large Candidate Endorsements page. You may have all five to sign that form and submit all signatures at once, or you may submit individual forms for each signatory. To do the latter, simply download the form, email it to your endorsers, and request that they sign and email the form to us. Make sure the candidate’s name and member number is filled in at the top.

3. Email nomination form and endorsements to NSSAElection@nssa-nsca.com.

4. Complete a brief bio. Click on this link to provide some information about yourself. While this is not required to be able to run for the position, you are encouraged to do so to allow voters to make informed decisions. This is a self-service function; you must enter the information yourself or it will not be distributed to voters.

5. Watch for our confirmation. Once your nomination form has been vetted for having met all requirements, you will receive an email advising that it has been received and accepted. If all requirements are not met, you will receive an email explaining what is needed to complete your submission. If you don’t receive an email, please allow three (3) business days after your submission before contacting us at NSSAElection@nssa-nsca.com to check on it. If you are running for a position, please add NSSAElection@nssa-nsca.com to your address book to ensure you receive our email.

The deadline to submit nomination materials is July 15, 2026.

NSSA Director Election Underway Through May 31

April 13, 2026 By Sherry Kerr Leave a Comment

Nominations are now closed for NSSA Directors for the 2027-2028 term, and ballots have been distributed for voting by May 31. Below are the final candidates who submitted nomination requirements by the April 23 deadline. If you state does not have candidates, your state/province/military branch still needs your vote as a write-in. Even if your ballot does have adequate candidates to fill all available positions, you are still able to write in a vote for any reason.

NSSA Director Candidates

Candidates were invited to provide biographical information to help voters make informed choices. You can view the candidate bios here. The bios are sorted by state/province. If a candidate is not included, it is because they did not provide the information.

You are an eligible voting member if you meet the following requirements:

  • NSSA member (not an NSCA member shooting NSSA targets)
  • Paid member (not a complimentary member)
  • Membership is current for 2026 or you are a life member
  • Voting in the same state/province/country or in the same military branch as the ballot you are voting on

Members with military credentials on file with NSSA may vote either in their military branch OR in their state of residence — not both.

Ballots are being emailed to all qualified members with an email address on file; if you do not receive the email, you may request a link to your ballot by contacting nssa@nssa-nsca.com or NSSAElection@nssa-nsca.com. Please provide your name, member number, and state/province/country so your membership information can be verified.
