Randy Clark Penwell from Dallas, Texas, passed on May 11, 2017 after a two-year battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife, Mary, and many loved ones.
Randy was the consummate entrepreneur, with multiple business endeavors, as well as a sportsman with many hobbies. He accepted challenges and adventures with much enthusiasm and determination. Skeet shooting was his favorite and as a perfectionist competitor, he won many honors. He was inducted into the Texas Skeet Shooters Hall of Fame in 1996. He won two World Championships, was on the Texas State team and National All-American teams many times. His proudest accomplishment was the three years that his dad, Josh, Lonny and he all earned All-American status at the same time. Three generations of AA shooters – a record that has not been broken.
Loving the outdoors, many other times were spent deer hunting, dove hunting in Argentina, riding Harleys, fishing, scuba diving, snow skiing, traveling or cooking on his smoker. He was happiest when family was sharing these times with him. His greatest joy was when his grandchildren were around; their laughter and love made his heart sing.
In lieu of customary remembrances the family requests, with gratitude, those who wish to remember Randy in a special way make gifts to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or The Special Olympics.
