Shooting for Rewards Points Now Last Longer

January 10, 2020 By nssaadmin

Shooting for RewardsEffective February 26, 2020, points earned in the Shooting for Rewards program for shooting registered targets won’t expire for four years, doubling the time they can be redeemed. The Shooting for Rewards program allows NSSA-NSCA members to turn their registered targets into logo merchandise, shooting gear, and even shooting fees for events like the World Skeet Championships or National Sporting Clays Championship!

Points are earned just for shooting registered targets — for every target you register, you earn a point. NSSA members will earn DOUBLE points for participating in their state or zone shoot and TRIPLE points for the World Skeet Championships. You can check your points status anytime just by logging on to your NSSA My Home Page or NSCA My Home Page.

Rewards points can be redeemed online anytime, 24/7!

To redeem your points, just log on to your NSSA or NSCA My Home Page, and click the Spend Points link.  That will take you to the Shooting for Rewards catalog.

See the Shooting for Rewards Catalog

Note that you must be logged in to your own account to spend points; if you are logged in under a family member’s number, for example, you will not be able to view your own rewards points.

Please allow 4-7 weeks for orders to ship out, as some items are custom ordered to your specifications.

Shipping is free within the United States. International orders will incur shipping charges. In that event, you will be contacted via the information we have on file for you, or you can call headquarters at 210-688-3371 after you have placed your order.

Find something you want but don’t have enough points? Not a problem. Just keep shooting and saving your points. Now, points do not expire for four years after they are earned. Keep shooting and earning!

Clubs: Sign Up for Free Range Safety Officer Course

May 10, 2016 By nssaadmin

CRSONSSA and NSCA are offering member clubs a free staff training course for the first 20 clubs that volunteer to host one of the associations’ newest course offerings, the Club Range Safety Officer (CRSO) Certification Course.

This one-time opportunity is being offered and fully funded by the NSSA and NSCA to promote the launch of the new Club Range Safety Officer Certification Course. The purpose of the new eight-hour $175 course is to train and certify club staff and volunteers to serve as referees and safety personnel and to serve as ambassadors for our sport when first-time shooters visit host clubs. These courses can be for sporting clays, skeet, or combo (which is encouraged).

To promote the new course and help member clubs enhance staff training, the association is waiving the $175 fee and funding up to 200 scholarships — 10 per club — to the first 20 qualified clubs to host and organize one of the inaugural courses. The course will be taught by active NSSA-NSCA Level II and Level III certified instructors, as approved by the Chief Instructor.

To be eligible for this special offer, host a funded course, and offer the scholarships, a club must:

1) Complete and submit the simple one-page CRSO Launch Promo Host Application to Glynne Moseley.

2) Be selected / have application approved by NSSA-NSCA.

3) Recruit an absolute minimum of 10 CRSO candidates for the course.

4) Submit the names of the 10 candidates on the application form 21 days prior to the course date.

5) Work with the designated Level II or Level III certifying instructor on the logistics and support required for the course.

6) Provide up to 300 targets and ammo at no charge for use during the course.

The staff of NSSA-NSCA are excited to offer this new course and look forward to increasing the number of qualified referees and safety personnel at our member clubs.

If you have questions, contact Glynne Moseley at gmoseley@nssa-nsca.com, 210-688-3371, ext. 119 or Don Currie, NSCA Chief Instructor, at nsca@doncurrie.com, 407-697-6236.

Download the CRSO Launch Promo Host Application.

Giambrone Video: Follow-through

December 11, 2015 By nssaadmin

If youve ever watched Paul Giambrone III shoot, you know his follow-through is distinctive. So when we wanted to get advice on the subject, he was the natural choice to ask. Why is follow-through important, and how best to follow-through on a shot?

Video by Gene Stewart

Paul Giambrone III has won 17 World Championships, including the 2014 HOA World Skeet Championship. He was inducted into the NSSA Hall of Fame in 2013 and is Captain of the 2015 Krieghoff All-American Team. You can contact Paul or sign up for his free newsletter at www.breakmoretargets.com.

New Official Magazine Launches in January

December 11, 2015 By nssaadmin

Starting in January, 2016, you will receive a new official NSCA magazine, Clay Target Nation, a joint publication with NSSA. Our long-term contract with Sporting Clays magazine to provide a publication to you is expiring, and we have engaged Grand View Media to produce the new magazine under our direction.

Around the same time you receive the inaugural issue of Clay Target Nation, you will also receive your final issue of Sporting Clays magazine. Although its cover date will be February 2016, you should receive it in early January. That will be the only month of overlapping magazines.

The publisher of Sporting Clays has informed us that they will cease publication after the February issue. We will fulfill any regular paid subscriptions of that magazine with Clay Target Nation.

We wish to thank the publisher, editors, and writers of Sporting Clays magazine for 25 years of their partnership and service to the members of NSCA. We appreciate their coverage and promotion of our sport, our members, and our association in their pages. As we enter an exciting new era at NSCA, we wish the Sporting Clays magazine team a fulfilling and prosperous next chapter as well.
