World Shoot Ladies Clinic Seeking Instructors

August 25, 2025 By Sherry Kerr

NSSA is recruiting experienced lady skeet shooters to serve as instructors for our third annual Ladies Skeet Clinic at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, timed to coincide with the Mini and World Shoot. “Your expertise and passion for skeet shooting would make a real impact on our event,” says event coordinator Hannah Goddard, “and we would be honored to have you with us. Special thanks to those of you who taught last year — your efforts were key to the clinic’s success.”

Last year, 21 women and girls attended the clinic to learn the basics of shotgun shooting and skeet in a supportive, all-female setting. The excitement was clear as they hit their first skeet targets or mastered tough shots, guided by our dedicated instructors.

This year, we’re expanding the Ladies Skeet Clinic with an additional session on Thursday, September 25, to complement our main event on Friday, September 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Thursday session will be smaller, handling overflow from Friday’s clinic to maintain an ideal instructor-to-student ratio. The Friday session is timed to conclude before the Mini begins that afternoon.

The clinic begins with a brief classroom session covering introductions, safety, and foundational knowledge, followed by the best part, hands-on time at the fields. The NSSA provides lunch and a memorable group photo to cap off the experience.

This opportunity is not limited to NSSA Certified Instructors; experienced, passionate shooters are also welcomed. “Just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to share your knowledge and love for skeet shooting!” said Goddard. “We welcome anyone with a passion for the sport and a desire to inspire other women.”

If you’re interested in lending your expertise, contact Hannah Goddard at 703-946-7644 or hnnhgoddard@gmail.com for more details or to volunteer.

Scammers Offering Fake NSSA-NSCA Lists

July 23, 2025 By Sherry Kerr

We’ve heard from some of our members and member clubs who have received unsolicited emails offering the NSSA-NSCA membership lists for sale.

These offers are scams. No one has our membership lists, and they are NEVER for sale. We protect our members’ contact information and do not share, sell, trade, or otherwise distribute it, even with our sponsors or industry partners.

If you receive one of these scam emails, you are welcome to forward it to us at nssa@nssa-nsca.com or nsca@nssa-nsca.com. Please report the email as spam and don’t click on any links it contains.

Be assured that we do everything possible to keep your contact information safe, and any scammer who says they have our list actually does not. Any lists they may provide to unwitting buyers will not be our member lists.
